Creativity and inventiveness when creating characters is both appreciated and encouraged - if I can make any arrangements so your character can function as you'd like, I will, even if it means ignoring or rewriting some written rules.Ĭharacter stat points can be assigned in whichever mode you think best: Standard array, point buy, or dice rolls. We'll be creating characters during Session 0, and I'll be available for any help. You can create your own character or use a premade - you can also ask me to roll you a character with your desired class and race and I will. It is my duty to offer you the safest experience I can, and I'll hold myself to it. To help players deal with potential stress resulting from in-game situations, sessions can be stopped at any moment if a player feels triggered, even if the situation creating it wasn't one discussed before and thus not one of the previously agreed-on lines or veils. Just as well, we'll repeat said discussions several times during sessions to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone in the group. To handle this, we will host a discussion about lines, veils, and potential triggers during session zero. However, all players come from different backgrounds, and what might be easy to deal with for some might be difficult for other, particularly considering the wide array of possible situations, both scripted and not, that can arise during a roleplaying session - and how sometimes these situations can affect us in ways we ourselves might not expect. I'm high on comedy and funny situations while doing my best to adapt the story so each character gets some level of development and advancement of their backstory and personal goals.Īll of my campaigns are illustrated - besides having maps when necessary, players are shown reference images of the places they're visiting and people they're meeting as a means to help them get into their characters and the worlds they inhabit.Īn introductory is a relatively safe environment to explore roleplaying, in general. You can expect a fast-paced, relatively rules light but RPG heavy experience from me. I focus on the experience rather than number-crunching and favor creativity over rules. I also own the sourcebooks on both Beyond and Fantasy Grounds, and have the DM and player's guide at hand to help answer any doubts and with character creation. I'll be bringing my own Discord server with a bot set up for dice rolls.
#Lost caves of phandelver download
You can download the demo version of Fantasy Grounds from, which will be enough for the campaign - no purchase is necessary.

#Lost caves of phandelver software
The campaign will be ran through Fantasy Grounds, and we'll be using that software to create and keep track of your characters and their abilities. Please make sure your microphone indeed works as needed, since troubleshooting your setup during a session robs the other players from their playtime.

Occasionally, promised features might be replaced by TPK-inducing spider drows.Īccess to Discord and a working microphone is a must. Dwarfs riding them might be taller and less beardy than expected. Unicorns presented might not be actual unicorns, and budget-friendly replacements such as horses with cones tied to their heads might be used. Budget cuts might be related to, but aren't only caused by, crashes in the Neverwinter stock market, bandit activity in the area, and dragon-related events along the sword coast. No D&D or roleplaying experience is required. While pre-made characters are available, custom characters can be used - and we'll work on them together to ensure not only proper character creations, but to find ways to weave their own, personal storylines and arcs into the campaign.

This version of the campaigns focuses on streamlining storyline and encounters to help focus on roleplaying and choice, thus creating a Phandelver/Icespire storyline that can be shaped by both your personal and group decisions. 📝 Play with custom-made characters (with help from the GM!) or use pre-generated ones 🍺 Share experiences, misfortunes, and hijinks with other, like-minded adventurers ❓ Experience a storyline where YOUR choices matter 🃏 Encounter absurd, hilarious situations 🕷 Delve through lost, treasure-filled caves 🏕️ Embark on a quest through the Forgotten Realms Welcome to Phandalin Madness, a mashup of the two classic introductory campaigns for D&D 5E: Lost Mines of Phandelver and Dragon of Icespire Peak.
